MONROE - Three Monroe softball players were named first-team Badger South All-Conference recently.

The first-team all-conference selections for the Cheese-makers were senior pitcher Natalie Dillon, senior catcher Hannah Vetterli and senior shortstop Brooke Adams. Dillon was one of three players named unanimous all-conference, joining Fort Atkinson's Morgan Dunkleberger and Stoughton senior Holly Brickson.

Monroe had two second-team all-conference players, junior Carly Upmann (outfielder) and senior Kylea Ambrose (first base).

The Cheesemakers had three honorable mention all-conference selections in senior Kaya Teasdale, senior Cassidy Pivonka and junior Lexi Hilliard.

Monroe's run of three straight Badger South Conference championships was snapped when Stoughton won the conference title. Stoughton finished 11-1 in the Badger South, two games ahead of Fort Atkinson (9-3) and three games ahead of third-place Monroe (8-4).

Monroe finished the season 20-9 overall and lost to Delavan-Darien 5-1 in a WIAA Division 2 regional championship game.
