MONROE - The Monroe Senior Legion baseball team pulled out an 8-6 win over Orangeville Friday night.
Mike Demianiuk pitched a complete game and scattered 11 hits. He struck out three and walked one.
"He hasn't pitched in a while," Monroe coach Bruce Rear said. "He was a little rusty."
Monroe was led by Mike Rear, who went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Scott Kline was 2-for-3 for the Cheesemakers.
Taylor Weckerly doubled and scored two runs and Nate Barta also hit a double for Monroe.
Monroe (1-1) has split two games with Orangeville this summer. The Cheesemakers will host Milton at 3:30 p.m. today. The Cheesemakers will host Albany at 6 p.m. Monday.
