"They were all big Division 1 schools we wrestled," Monroe coach Tom Witt said. "I knew we could beat Verona because we saw their wrestlers at Bi-State. I know Oconomowoc is always tough. I was hoping to go 3-2. Top to bottom our kids wrestled well."

Kind (160) had one pin and won two major decisions. In his closest match, Kind clipped Waukesha South's Dawson Sayles 3-1. At 170, Foley was dominant posting five pins. Arneson (195) was just as impressive racking up five pins.

The Cheesemakers had five wrestlers finish 4-1 including David Andrews (120), freshman Patrick Rielly (152), senior Isaac Allen (182), freshman Bodie Minder (220) and senior Kyle Walter (heavyweight).

His only loss came to Oconomowoc's Theo Ringold who beat him 14-6. Minder had two pins and pulled out a 2-0 win over Oconomowoc's Alex Schmidt.

Monroe will host Fort Atkinson in a Badger South Conference dual meet on Friday.
