MCFARLAND - Sophomore Grant Newcomer scored three goals to lead McFarland to a 7-3 win over the Monroe boys hockey co-op Friday. Newcomer scored the first goal on an assist by sophomore Jack McGinn at 1 minute, 33 seconds in the first period. It marked the first of three first-period goals by the Spartans.
