BELOIT - Freshman Emily Benzschawel scored a team-high 14 points off the bench and was one of three Monroe High School girls basketball players to score in double figures to help the Cheesemakers roll to a 77-28 season-opening win over Beloit Memorial on Tuesday. Monroe sophomore Sydney Mathiason scored 11 points, and senior Hannah Vetterli added 10 points. Freshman Sydney Hilliard scored nine points and her older sister, junior Lexi Hilliard, chipped in eight points.
