Monroe, area teams compete at tri-state meet

PLATTEVILLE - Monroe's Jeff Hill won the pole vault with a mark of 12-feet at the Tri-State Indoor Meet at UW-Platteville on Saturday.

Meagan Tomasiewicz finished in second place in the pole vault with a mark of 9-feet and third in the high jump at 5-feet. Tess Seichter took third in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 12:33.61.

Monroe's girls finished in 10th place and the boys in 13th.

In the small school division, Darlington's girls 4x200 finished third with a time of 10:58.49.

Belleville-New Glarus' Anysia Secord finished fifth in the 3,200 run at 12:56.83 and Darlington's Hana Meihe was next at 13:01.57.

Albany's Jordan Mauerman finished fifth in the girls long jump with a leap of 14-01.25.

On the boys side, Alex Erickson won the high jump (5-10) and came in third in the 200 meter dash (24.78).

Belleville-New Glarus's Travis Beutler finished second in the 3,200 run with a time of 10:25.79 and teammate Jeremy McDermott took second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.32 seconds.

Albany's 4x800 relay team came in second with a time of 9:14.46. Darlington's squad finished two spots later (9:20.60).

Darlington's Jeff Reichling won the shot put with a throw of 52.07.25, Bruce Kng finished second in the high jump (5-8), Brandon Zywicki took second in the triple-jump (38-11.00) and Tucker Weigel finished third in the long jump (19-00.25).

Darlington's boys team won the meet and Darlington's girls team finished seventh.
