JUDA - Youngster Kylie B. Moe will represent Juda and the state of Wisconsin in the 9-10 year old girls bracket of the Jr. NBA/WNBA National Skills Challenge set for May 15 in Orlando, Fla.
The event will be held at RDV Sportsplex, which is the practice facility for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association. Hosts of the event are NBA Legend Bob Lanier and Orlando Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw.
"The Jr. NBA/WNBA Program teaches children basketball fundamentals and imparts transferable life skills," said New Orleans Hornets center Tylson Chandler, who is also serving as an ambassador. "My participation in youth basketball programs gave me a strong sense of self, kept me healthy and active, and helped to develop my love of the game."
Moe is one of 24 finalists from throughout the nation in six different divisions. Each gender has a division for kids aged 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. The winners for each division will be crowned as a national champion during an awards ceremony in Orlando, May 16.
