Midwest Extreme camp coming up

MONROE - The Midwest Extreme Wrestling Camp instructed by Billy Huebner, who is an assistant coach at Luther College, is coming to town again Oct. 17-19.

Huebner has more than 17 years of wrestling clinician experience and has run more than 250 clinics across the country. He has been a part of nine NCAA trophy teams and coached 56 All-Americans. The camp focuses on the Midwest style of wrestling and how to break down opponents physically and mentally. The camp is focused on helping wrestlers improve their technique and gives wrestlers exposure to a variety of moves and training habits.

The wrestling camp is open for fourth grade through high school seniors. The cost for the camp is $60 and it includes a T-shirt. The wrestling camp each day will be hosted at the Monroe High School wrestling room, 1600 26th Street, Monroe. Completed registration forms should be returned to the Green County Family YMCA, 1307 Second Street, Monroe. Checks should be made payable to the Green County Family YMCA. Pre-registration forms are due Friday, Oct. 14.
