MONROE - Monroe High School graduate Aron Kehoe headlines a five-member contingent from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater that will compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14.

Kehoe is UW-Whitewater's record holder in both the 600 (1:20.65) and 1,000 (2:29.20) meters, and he qualified in the 800. He won the WIAC 800 title indoors in 2008, and was on the Warhawks' conference-winning 4x400 relay team this season.

This will be his second national championship, having also qualified in the 800 indoors last year. His qualifying time in the 800, 1:52.96, is fourth best in the field.

UW-Whitewater has finished among the top 15 teams in the NCAA III indoor championship in seven of the past eight years under head coach Darren Schneider. Five times in the past seven years the Warhawks have placed among the top 10 in the NCAA outdoor championship.

The top eight finishers in each event, including relays, earn All-America honors.
