MONROE - The Monroe Cheesemakers fell to the Monona Grove Silver Eagles in four games in girls volleyball, Tuesday night, 25-14, 25-21, 18-25, 25-13.

It was the Badger Conference opener for both teams.

Jamie Armstrong led the Cheesemakers with 15 kills and Jessica Wyssbrod added 26 assists.

"Monona Grove put up a good block with senior leadership," Cheesemaker coach Dave Gersbach said. "We played a little hesitant tonight. We reverted back to old habits."

The Cheesemakers are now 0-1 in the Badger Conference and 4-2 overall. Monroe will travel to Fort Atkinson, Thursday night.
