Meudt lifts Vikes past Juda

JUDA - Senior Jason Meudt's basket with two seconds remaining lifted the Pecaton-ica Vikings to a 39-37 win over the Juda Panthers Thursday.

The Panthers trailed the entire game until taking their first lead at 33-32 with three minutes to go.

The Vikings took the lead back at 36-35 with 35 seconds remaining and extended the lead to 37-35 with 24 seconds left in the game.

Juda's Joey Jordan tied it with a layup with 15 seconds to go to set the stage for Meudt's game-winner.

Meudt led the Vikings with 14 points and senior Devin Jeglum contributed nine points for Pecatonica (7-6, 4-2 Six Rivers East).

Juda sophomore Brandon Bauman scored 11 points, while junior Bryan Bauman, and sophomore Joey Jordan added eight points each.

Juda (4-9, 2-4) will host Albany Tuesday.

Waterloo 37,

New Glarus 34

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus senior Ryan Bright drained a late three-pointer to tie the game, but Waterloo's Trevor Deppe countered with a game-winning three-pointer to hand the Glarner Knights a 37-34 loss to the Pirates Thursday.

Trailing 34-31, Bright's three-point basket with 13 seconds to go tied it at 34. The Pirates called a timeout to set up Deppe's three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left to win it.

New Glarus was led by sophomore Tyler Kreklow with nine points. Bright scored six points and senior Brendan Pittman added five for the Glarner Knights (8-5, 2-4 Capitol South).

New Glarus will host Cambridge Tuesday in Capitol Conference action.

Barneveld 46,

Black Hawk 29

BARNEVELD - The Warriors fell behind by 21 points in the first half and lost to the Barneveld Eagles, 46-29, in Six Rivers East Conference play Thursday.

Senior T. J. Adams lead the Warriors with 12 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Senior Cody Foster and junior Jake Meier each scored five points for Black Hawk (5-8, 3-5).

Logan Johnson scored 14 points to lead Barneveld (11-2, 6-1).

Black Hawk's next game is at home Tuesday against first-place Monticello.
