BRODHEAD - Only Parkview's boys squad prevented Brodhead-Juda's track and field squads from taking a leisurely flight through Tuesday's Rock Valley triangular.
The Vikings lost, 80-66, heads-up to the Cardinals whereas Palmyra-Eagle was trounced 111-35 by its host.
The Lady Cardinals defeated Parkview and Palmyra-Eagle 93-53 and 116-30, respectively.
Ryan McCarville paced Brodhead's boys' team by contributing to three golds, first winning the 800-meter run (2:02.2) before running in both the winning 4x400 (3:43.3) and 4x800 (9:16.4) relay quartets.
Brodhead won three of the six boys field events while the girls took four of theirs. Those performances, coupled with wins by sophomore Shannon Klein in the 800 (2:47.9), the 1,600 (5:59.2) and the 3,200 (12:55.2) allowed the girls to cruise past the field. For good measure, the Cards took the gold in three of the four relay events.
