VERONA - The U19 Monroe Rebels Soccer team announced emphatically that this is their time of the year with a 7-1 victory over at Reddan Park Thursday night.
The squad won its second MAYSA League Championship in as many years, with many of the same players on the roster from a year ago. The team won seven games and tied one overall to win the outright title.
Dan Lehman, Tim Gellings, Bill Farrar, Ben Knaus, Justin Griffin, Kyle Frint, Derek Kundert, Matt Farrar, Nick Hendrickson, Brad Zumkehr, Bill Hubbard, Dylan Boehme, Jake Gross, Connor Lind and keeper Nate Barta make up the back-to-back champion squad.
The unit will hope to use the momentum and what has become like a home away from home June 28-29 when the Badger State Games take place at Reddan Park.
