The Monroe Mat Rats had 10 wrestlers competing in two wrestling tournaments March 1.
Three wrestlers placed in the top four at Milton. Ryan Hughes and Aaron Hesgard both finished second place in the seventh-eighth grade division. Sam Kind took fourth place in the third-fourth grade bracket.
Seven wrestlers finished in the top five at Waunakee. The Mat Rats had two champions in the kindergarten-second grade division - Nick Schumacher and Mitchell Quinn. Aidan Sweeney took second and Tristan Teasdale took fifth place.
In the third-fourth grade level, Jacob Meier and Cole Murray both finished third. Dusty Burkhalter took second place in the seventh-eighth grade division.
Brandon Anderson finished second in the kindergarten-second grade level at a tournament at Sauk City on Feb. 22.
