MONROE - The Monroe Park & Recreation Department will host the 37th annual city tennis tournament the weekend of June 28-29.

The tournament is open to anyone and and will feature six brackets, including Class A men's and women's championship flights, Class B men's and women's intermediate flights and 14-and-under brackets for boys and girls.

Tennis awards include T-Shirts and trophies. All tennis balls will be furnished by the park department. The tournament is the first of a three-tournament series this summer. A doubles tournament will be July 19-20 and a mixed tournament scheduled for August 9-10.
