NEW GLARUS — The Belleville Wildcats finished up the regular season in girls volleyball by getting a three-set sweep in Capitol South conference action over the New Glarus Glarner Knights, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 on Thursday Oct. 16.
With the win, Belleville improved to 19-11 overall and 5-5 in the Capitol South conference. New Glarus fell to 8-18 overall and 2-8 in the Capitol South. The Glarner Knights were led by junior Kalia Malaise with 8 kills, two aces, 10 digs, and nine assists. Junior Ellie Brenkman added four kills, four blocks, and 10 digs while freshman Macy Pinnow had three kills and 16 digs.
In the upcoming Division 3 playoffs, Belleville is a No. 5 seed and drew a bye in the regional quarterfinal round. They will face No. 4 seed River Valley in the regional semifinal at Spring Green on Thursday Oct. 23 while No. 9 seed New Glarus will go to Lancaster to play the No. 8 seeded Flying Arrows in a regional quarterfinal on Tuesday Oct. 21.

SOUTH WAYNE — The Pecatonica Vikings finished their regular season in Six Rivers Conference volleyball with a three-set sweep over the Black Hawk Warriors, 26-24, 25-11, 25-19 on Thursday Oct. 16.
Brooklyn Muench and Aleah Harris each had eight kills to lead the Vikings. Tatum Kurschner had 18 assists and five aces and Loretta Tish recorded 19 digs for the Vikings.
Black Hawk was led by Keira Brunner with 10 kills. Maddy Place added eight kills. Jaci Kammes led the Warriors in assists with eight.
Pecatonica (13-7, 8-4) received a No. 3 seed for Division 5 regionals and will face either Cassville (No. 11 seed) or Monticello (No. 6 seed) in a regional semifinal on Thursday Oct. 23. Black Hawk is a No.10 seed and traveled to Belmont (No. 7 seed) in the regional quarterfinal on Tuesday Oct. 21.

LIVINGSTON — The Darlington Redbirds won their sixth straight volleyball match with a three-set sweep over Iowa-Grant, 25-16, 25-22, 25-22 in SWAL conference action on Thursday Oct. 16.
Leading the Redbirds were Lilly Ritchie with 11 kills, Catie Hartwig with seven blocks, and Olivea Winslow with 18 digs. Ritchie and Camryn Andrews had 14 assists and Ritchie added two aces for the Redbirds.
Darlington (14-12, 6-4) wrapped up their regular season at the Wisconsin Dells Tournament on Saturday. The Redbirds were seeded No. 6 to begin post-season play against 11th-seeded Prairie du Chien in the Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday Oct. 21.
