STEVENS POINT — The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) will release the 2025 Boys Basketball Tournament Series seeds and pairings and the 2025 State Individual Wrestling Tournament brackets during one-hour live programs on WIAA State Television Network stations Sunday, Feb. 23.
The basketball program will be aired live at 10 a.m. on WKOW 27.2 in Madison, WAOW 9.2 in Wausau, WXOW 19.2 in La Crosse and WQOW 18.2 in Eau Claire, WCFW CW14 in Green Bay and My24 EVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee.
Brad Hanson, news director at WAOW-TV, will serve as the host of the boys basketball show, which will feature the announcement and first-round match-ups for five divisions of the Tournament Series. He will be joined by Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Famer Mark Miller and Craig Harden, former sports reporter and founder of The Athlete Live Stream, for analysis.
There are 486 teams entering the post-season boys basketball tournament that will culminate with the State Boys Basketball Tournament Thursday-Saturday, March 20-22 at the Kohl Center in Madison, which will be aired and streamed live in its entirety on WIAA State Television Network stations and their websites.
Complete brackets with seeded teams and the first-round regional pairings are scheduled to be available on the WIAA website following the live program.
The State Individual Wrestling Tournament program will be aired live at 11 a.m. on WKOW 27.2 in Madison, WAOW 9.2 in Wausau, WXOW 19.2 in La Crosse, and WQOW 18.2 in Eau Claire. The show will be aired on a delayed basis on My24 EVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee at 2 p.m.
Nick Tabbert, sports director at WQOW-TV, will serve as the host of the show, which will feature the announcement and first-round match-ups for 14 weight classes in three boys divisions and 12 weight classes for the one girls division of the State Individual Wrestling Tournament. Hanson will be join by analysts Joe Miller, announcer on WIAA.TV, and Teague Fenwick of The Wisconsin Wrestler Podcast.
There are 560 boy qualifiers and 192 girl qualifiers entering the State Individual Wrestling Tournament scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 27-March 1 at the Kohl Center in Madison. It will be the 82nd annual boys tournament and the fourth year of the girls tournament. The finals of the Individual Wrestling Tournament will be aired live on the WIAA State Television Network channels Saturday with programming to begin at 5 p.m.
