Sugar River defeats Dodgeville; Brodhead-Juda falls in triangular

BELLEVILLE — Sugar River wrestling faced a familiar foe in Dodgeville, defeating the Dodgers 54-24 on Tuesday, Dec. 13. Dodgeville recently took third behind Sugar River in the Raider Scramble.

The Raiders won nine matchups, with six of them resulting in a pin. Brennan Keyes, Eli Leonard, Alex Zielinski, Aidan Keyes, and Ashlin Mihlbauer defeated their opponents in the first period, while Isaac Erb’s pin came in the second.


EDGERTON 57, BRODHEAD-JUDA 24

EDGERTON — The Cardinals dropped a pair of dual matchups on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Brodhead-Juda’s four victories came by pin — two in the first period and two in the second period. Joe Lohmar (138) defeated Ethan Kastenmeier, followed by Marcus McIntyre’s (145) win over Dylan Norin. CJ Steuly (195) pinned Breyden South 23 second into the second period, and Jameson Wallin (132) pinned Noah Reilly.


TURNER 48, BRODHEAD-JUDA 30

The Cardinals fared better against the Trojans with six victories — one decision, two pins, two forfeits and one sudden victory.

With their pins, Lohmar, McIntyre and Steuly went 2-0 on the night. In dramatic fashion, Wallin also went 2-0, as he defeated Zack Ries 8-6 in overtime.
