MONROE — The Rock Valley and Ridge & Valley recently released its wrestling all-conference selections.
Monroe had two first-team all-conference selections in Carson Menehan (132 pounds) and Braedyn Nally (157). Menehan posted a 31-7 record and was a RVC champion. He earned a trip to the WIAA individual state tournament, where he lost his opening match. Nally finished with a 26-11 record, including a conference title.
Owen Voegeli (106) and CJ Schuh (150) were selected to second team, while Garrett Minder (138) and Connor Eckdhal (144) garnered honorable mention.
Brodhead-Juda also had two first-team all-conference selections in Marcus McIntyre (138) and Joe Lohmar (150). McIntyre posted a 42-4 record, including individual conference, regional and sectional titles. He was the 6-seed in the WIAA individual state tournament and finished sixth overall. Lohmar finished 40-7 overall, including an individual conference title. He was a regional and sectional runner up to Danny Heiser of Evansville. At the WIAA individual state tournament, Lohmar earned the 5-seed and finished sixth.
No other Cardinals earned all-conference honors.
RIDGE & VALLEY
Pecatonica-Argyle had three first-team all-conference selections in Aidan Gruenenfelder (106), Lukas Orloff (120) and Jakob Orloff (132).
Gruenenfelder suffered just one loss all season, posting a 53-1 record. In addition to an individual conference title, Gruenenfelder was a regional, sectional and state champion. He is just the second state champion in Pecatonica school history, joining two-time champion Gene Spellman.
Lukas Orloff finished with a 46-7 record. He earned conference and regional titles and was a sectional runner-up to Jake Fitzpatrick of Aquinas. Orloff earned the 8-seed at the WIAA individual state tournament and finished third, knocking off the 4-, 3- and 5-seeds.
Jakob Orloff posted a 37-11 record, earning his 100th career win in regionals. He was a regional and sectional qualifier.
PA’s Luke Sigg (126) earned honorable mention all-conference, while Kevin Rhodes (126) was named to the Sportsmanship Team.
The Vikings finished six of six teams in the Ridge & Valley Conference.
