PRAIRIE DU CHIEN — The Darlington Redbirds finished in fifth place with a 521 at the SWAL/SWC girls gold championship at Prairie du Chien on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Wisconsin Dells won the tournament by shooting a 371. 

Senior Ellie Riechers was the Redbirds top golfer with a 126. Sophomore Adeline Riechers and senior Makenna Martin each fired a 127. Sophomore Sarine Ford had a 141 and senior Jaycie Schwartz carded a 152.

Darlington will be competing in the WIAA Division 2 regionals Oct. 1 at Evansville. Any golfers that advances will compete on Monday, Oct. 6 at Meadowbrook Country Club in Mount Pleasant. The 2025 girls golf state tournament will be Oct. 13-14 at University Ridge in Madison.
