DARLINGTON — With a third-place finish in the SWAL, Darlington had three players recognized by the league. Allie Andrews and Maddie Gratz earned first-team all-conference, and Lily Ritchie garnered honorable mention.

As the team’s setter, Andrews played in all 31 matches and 88 sets for the Redbirds. She was fourth on the team in kills with 116, registered 24 blocks and tallied a team-best 581 assists. Andrews was second on the team in digs with 216.

Gratz recorded the highest hitting percentage on the team at .223 and was second in kills with 229. She paced the team with 40 blocks and was one of five Redbirds with more than 100 digs — 133.

Ritchie was the best serve receiver on the team with just 37 errors in 439 attempts. She also led the team in kills with 236. Ritchie was one of five Redbirds to have double-digit blocks — 10 — and led the team with 276 digs.

Darlington finished 9-3 in league play behind winners Cuba City and runners-up Mineral Point. The Redbirds fell to eventual state runners-up Aquinas in four sets during a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal game.
