Varsity Capitol All-Conference. Riley O’Flanagan (1st), Hannah Boldebuck (2nd), Paige Leonard (1st), Peyton Yaun (2nd), Anya Brenkman (1st), Bella Brenkman (1st-POY), Lily Maynard (HM), Madi Winterburn (HM).

BELLEVILLE — Nine members of the Sugar River Raiders were named Capitol All-Conference after winning the league title.

Bella Brenkman was not only a first-team all-conference pick, but was named the Capitol Conference player of the year. She was joined on the first team by Riley O’Flanagan, Paige Leonard and Anya Brenkman. Hannah Boldebuck and Peyton Yaun were second team picks, while Madi Winterburn and Lily Maynard were honorable mention picks.

Anya Brenkman led the Capitol Conference in scoring this past season as a freshman with 18 goals and 12 assists.

The Raiders finished the season 16-4-1, including 7-0 in the Capitol Conference, three wins ahead of second-place Lake Mills and Lodi. It was Sugar River’s fifth straight conference championship.

In the team’s season-ended banquet, Leonard was named team MVP, while Bella Brenkman won the coaches award and O’Flanagan was the Most Improved Player.

Thirteen Raiders won a scholastic awards for receiving a 4.0 GPA. Those students include Sydney O’Flanagan, Alaina Smith, Mel Humke, Riley O’Flanagan, Lily Maynard, Bella Brenkman, Brooke Warrell, Waverly Kalstrup, Delany Hoeper, Amelia Harper, Jenna Krantz, Annika Ziperski and Maggie Emond.
