BELLEVILLE — A goal in the 55th minute by Gavin Boyum gave the Sugar River Raiders a 2-1 win over Milton April 17. The victory came two days after a 5-1 Raiders win at Columbus.
Boyum’s goal came courtesy of an assist from Aiden Hatleberg.
Cam Kleiboer had four saves in the shutout, and the Raiders out-shot Milton 14-12, and had 3 corners to the Red Hawks’ 1.
In the win over Columbus, Ryan Downing, Jack Leonard and Breckin Faber all had a goal, while Hatleberg scored twice and added an assist on Downing’s score.
Kleiboer had 3 saves in net, with Luke Brecklin adding another in relief.
Fort Atkinson 5, Monroe 2
MONROE — The Cheesemakers played their closest contest of the season April 15.
Luis Torres scored just 3:30 into the game to give Monroe some momentum, though the Blackhawks went into halftime holding a 2-1 lead.
Torrest scored his second goal of the day in the 58th minute with Ben Sanft assisting. Fort Atkinson scored three times in the second half.
Jack Carter had 10 saves in net for Monroe.
