Pec’s Enloe is Six Rivers East Co-Player of the year
Vikings net 8 first-team picks after 7th-straight league title

Pecatonica senior Hunter Enloe was the Co-Player of the Year in the Six Rivers East this season.

BLANCHARDVILLE — The Pecatonica Vikings won the Six Rivers East for the seventh straight season, and was honored with a bevy of postseason awards because of it.

Senior southpaw hurler Hunter Enloe was named Co-Player of the Year, sharing the honor with Barneveld’s Aiden Fishnick. Pecatonica coach Jim Strommen was the league’s coach of the year, and the Vikings had nine players earn all-conference honors — including eight first-team picks.

Enloe was joined on the first team by teammates Bryce Johnsrud, Carson Kurschner, Coy Ruegsegger, Elijah Knutson, Hunter Enloe, Jameson Johnson, Kegun Brunker and Tyler McKeon. Devon Doran was an honorable mention pick.

Also on the first-team was Max Godfrey of Argyle, and Dempsey Schliem of Black Hawk. Barneveld had five players named first-team — Fishnick, Chase Ignatius, Blake Hazen, Kasey Helgeson and Trenton Owens.

Argyle’s Alex Gilbertson and Will Helfvogt were honorable mention picks, as were Black Hawk’s Carter Baumgartner and Nathan Figi, as well as Monticello-Albany’s Tyler Anderson and Barneveld’s Gerald Fishnick and Quin Dimpfl.

Pecatonica finished with a 12-1 league record, with Barneveld second at 11-2. Argyle finished 5-8, while Black Hawk was 2-11 and Monticello-Albany 0-13.
