Pec-Argyle runners race at IG, Riverdale

MUSCODA — Pecatonica-Argyle ran in two meets last week, a stretch that concluded four races in 10 days. 

On Oct. 6 at Iowa-Grant, Brady Penniston was the first Viking to cross the finish line, placing 13th overall in the 26-person race with a time of 21 minutes, 56.8 seconds. Teammates Caden Stoeger (23:47.4) and Nathan Nickels (24:29.8) also participated. At the Oct. 10 Riverdale meet, Nickels was the first Pec-Argyle runner to finish the race, taking 11th out of 19 with a time of 21:45.0. 

On the girls side, Allie Godfrey (30:02.0) was 15th overall with teammate Sydney Webster (30:58.3) finishing 18th at the Iowa-Grant meet. At the Riverdale race, Godfrey (27:09.6) shaved nearly three minutes off her race and finished 10th. Webster (30:28.3) cut out half a minute and was 13th out of 15 runners.
