DARLINGTON — The second-ranked Redbirds picked up two major wins last week, first using a monster second half to clip Fennimore 60-41 on Feb. 1, followed by a 95-28 thumping of Riverdale Feb. 2.
Fennimore (13-3, 6-3 SWAL) led unbeaten Darlington 24-19 at halftime and held a seven-point advantage early in the second. But the Redbirds (16-0, 10-0) rallied and eventually took a 20-point lead before the final buzzer sounded.
Carter Lancaster scored 16 to lead all scorers, while Stryker Fitzsimons had 14 points and Bryce Stone 11. Ten total Redbirds put the ball in the basket.
Adam Larson, Reid Larson and Kellen Kenney all had 10 points for Fennimore.
In the blowout win over Riverdale (1-14, 0-9), 13 Darlington players scored. Fitzsimons led the way with 24, while Lancaster had 12, Cayden Rankin 10, Stone eight, and Cole Roelli, Hunter Hardyman and Matthew Douglas each had eight.
New Glarus 63, Cambridge 43
CAMBRIDGE — The Glarner Knights got scoring contributions from 10 players in a 20-point win over Cambridge Feb. 1.
Zach Feller led all scorers with 14 points, while Trevor Gassman had 12 and Mason Martinson 10.
The Knights hit six 3s in the game and led 28-13 at halftime. Cambridge hit just five shots in the first half, three of which from deep.
Parkview 63, Brodhead 60
BRODHEAD — The Vikings hit seven 3-pointers in a tight nonconference win over the Cardinals Feb. 2.
Parkview led 28-24 at halftime and hung on to win by three. Eli Hoscheit scored 21 points to lead the Vikings, while Justin Balch had 15 and Adrian Meza had 10.
Brodhead was led in scoring by Dawson Van Whye’s 22. Cade Walker had 12, Cody Malcook 10 and Dawson McGinty and Connor Green each scored seven.
Cassville 66, Juda 51
JUDA — The winless Panthers (0-16) fell behind in the first half and couldn’t catch back up to Cassville (5-10) in a Six Rivers crossover game.
Gavin Kammerer scored 15 points and Quinton Kammerer had 14 for Juda. Dominic Taylor added nine.
In other area scores, Monticello defeated Albany 53-47 Feb. 2, while Albany knocked off Argyle 45-38 Feb. 1.
