Monroe outshoots Whitefish Bay 47-24, loses 4-3

MONROE — Despite outshooting Whitefish Bay 47-24, Monroe lost its season opener 4-3 on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Storm’s goal late in the third period was the difference.

“We had some good chances to score, but we just couldn’t finish,” Monroe head coach Barry Einbeck said. “We still have some work to do in all three zones. Overall, not a bad start to the season.”

Carter Nemergut and Ben Erdley tallied two points each — Nemergut from a goal and an assist, and Erdley from two assists. Tysen Folgate and Brady Stuart recorded the other two goals. Brock Brandli played all 51 minutes in net, stopping 20 shots.
