MONROE — Ethan Moehn, a Monroe High School graduate, was recently named to the 2026 Wisconsin Track & Field Coaches Association (WISTCA) Hall of Fame class.

Moehn set two individual (800m and 1,600m) and one relay (4x800m) state records during his career. He won four individual and three relay state championships during the entirety of his career at Monroe. His senior season, Ethan won the 800m, 1,600m, and 3,200m races at state while helping lead his Cheesemaker team to the 2014 state championship. He is the only runner in WIAA Division 2 history to complete distance triple (800m, 1,600m, 3,200m). Moehn was also a two-time team captain and three-time team MVP at MHS.

He is married to Sydney, another Razorback runner, and they have three boys: Elliot (5), Wesley (2), and a newborn named Charlie.

“I still love track & field, and am grateful for the heritage of Monroe High School where it all began,” Moehn said.

In college, Moehn was a multi-time All-SEC Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor performer, including the 2017 NCAA All-American in Distance Medley Relay. He also competed in the 2015 USATF Junior Nationals Qualifier (1,500m) and was a NCAA West Preliminary Round Qualifier (2016, 2018, 2019) in the 1,500m.
