Monroe High School and the Badger Conference joined in the viral #BeTheLightWI movement April 24, joining hundreds of schools across the state of Wisconsin to honor the senior class of 2020 and those who missed out on the spring sports season this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The viral campaign has taken place for about four weeks, however, Monroe and the majority of the Badger Conference did not participate. On April 21, the WIAA officially shut down the spring season.
