MNG dominates Stoughton at newly renovated home pool
Swimming 2025

MONROE — The Monroe-New Glarus swim team showed off the new Green County YMCA a 114-52 win over Stoughton on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Anna Zentner finished first in all individual events and relay events she participated in. Lauren Zentner swam a season-best time in the 50 free, while Kennedy Sysko secured a strong second-place finish in the 200 IM. The breaststroke trio of Bella Miranda, Amelia Geib, and Lauryn Arnett got the top three spots in the event. The swimmers that swam varsity events all scored points for the team.

“The girls’ energy was contagious as they cheered each other on, pushing teammates to strong finishes in tight races,” said Rachel Root, Cheese Knights coach.

The next swim meet for Monroe-New Glarus is Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Lodi Invitational.
