MONROE — The Cheesemakers had three wrestlers earn all-conference honors this past season.

Junior Alex Witt was first-team all-conference in the Badger South at 170 pounds. Witt compiled a 42-8 record on the season and qualified for the WIAA Division 2 state meet. He finished second in the conference meet to Waunakee’s Colton Grindle.

Bodie Minder, a junior wrestling at 220 pounds, was 41-10 on the season, taking fourth at state. Minder was a second-team all-conference selection, and was third at the Badger Conference meet Feb. 2.

At 160 pounds, Patrick Rielly finished the year with a 29-6 record and was second-team all-conference. Rielly finished third at the conference meet and qualified for sectionals.

WIAA Division 1 state champion Stoughton led the all-conference team with eight first-team grapplers and three second-team. There are 14 weight classes. Watertown had five named first- or second-team, while Milton had three.
