MHS boys compete at Parker Invite; Girls see success at Jefferson

JANESVILLE — The Monroe Cheesemakers boys team wrestled at the Janesville Parker tournament on Saturday, Dec. 6. 

The Cheesemakers compiled a record of 2-3 at the tournament with Connor Eckdhal (165 lbs.) going undefeated at 5-0. Noah Schuh at 126 and 132 and Patrick Harms (190) both went 4-1. At 175 pounds, Kabian Ramos went 3-0. Waylon Anderson wrestled at 132 and at 126 and went 2-3. Alex Anastacio also went 2-3 wrestling at 285 pounds. Weston Huntsman (138), Angel Benitez (150/144), and Oliver Helland (157) went 1-4. Isaac Diaz (144) was 1-1. Oliver Ostby (144/150) went 0-3 and Joah Wellman (215) was 0-2. 

The Lady Cheesemakers wrestled at Jefferson and had three first place finishes in Evelyn Eckdhal (132), Althea Eckdhal (145), and Addi Treuhardt (152). As a team, the Cheesemakers placed sixth out of 27 teams.

Monroe will wrestle next at Dodgeville in the Dodgeville Quadrangular on Thursday, Dec. 11.
