MONROE — Meet the Cheesemakers was held on Monday August 4 at Twining Park, giving fans a chance to see most of the teams competing for Monroe High School this coming school year. The event was to be held last week but was postponed due to excessive heat. Representatives from different teams were stationed throughout Twining Park and engaged with fans in such things as football toss, hole-in-one, soccer ball kicking, T-ball and more.
For Monroe High School Athletic Director, Eric Jubeck, “Meet the Cheesemakers” presented something new for student-athletes and fans. “It looks like we have a good turnout, and a good opportunity to spend some time with the best and brightest of Monroe.”
School will begin the first week in September, but practice is already underway for some sports. Jubeck said “Meet the Cheesemakers” is giving fans a head start to the upcoming season. “It’s a good way to get excited about fall sports at Monroe.”
