Leitzen Strives for More at Moorhead

Sophia Leitzen, third baseman for Brodhead, announced Thursday her commitment to continue her educational and softball careers at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Leitzen chose MSUM because she felt she’ll “really be able to thrive and be able to put 110% in day in and day out.” Playing collegiately has been a longtime goal for Leitzen, one that accomplishing is “one of the most rewarding things (she’s) ever experienced.” Leitzen led her D3 championship team in hits (44), runs (36), triples (3), stolen bases (11) and batting average (.440).
