WAUSAU — The Rock County Fury lost to Central Wisconsin Storm Jan. 5 in a nonconference game at DC Everest High School.

After a scoreless first period, the Storm scored an even strength goal off the stick of Eden Gruber to go up 1-0. 

Rock County bounced right back, as Alyssa Knauf scored on a power play just three minutes later to even the score. Haley Knauf and Abby Humphrey assisted on the goal.

Just seconds into the third period, Maddux Federici scored to put the Storm up for good.

Olivia Cronin had 21 saves in goal for the Fury. Rock County was only able to muster 12 shots on goal offensively.

The Fury were scheduled to play in Wisconsin Dells Jan. 8 before hosting Stoughton in Monroe Jan. 10.
