That's it! Jaylen Rufenacht picks off a pass and the Warriors repeat as D7 champions, 6-0!

12:24 p.m. An INT by Edgar turns it over, but BHW stops Edgar on four downs. The excitement on the Black Hawk-Warren sidelines is palpable.

12:13 p.m. The second instant replay review in WIAA history goes in favor of Black Hawk-Warren on a crucial fourth down try by Edgar. Closing minutes. Can the Warriors hang on? Just 4:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, big third down for BHW upcoming.

12:01 p.m. What a slug it out game. The BHW defense has been as good as it's been all year. My prediction: next score wins.

11:53 a.m. We've played three quarters and Black Hawk-Warren still leads 6-0. Edgar will open the fourth with a second-&-3 from the BHW 49.

11:34 a.m. Black Hawk-Warren punts to open up the second half. Still a tight 6-0 game. Mist is fading, though.

11:13 a.m. Halftime. Black Hawk-Warren leads Edgar 6-0. Warriors have 191 yards of offense (90 rush, 101 pass), but two costly fumbles have kept the score tight. Edgar has just 78 yards of offense (53 rush, 35 pass).

Warriors get the ball to open the third quarter, so that's an opportunity to double the lead, which could be a real game changer.

10:59 a.m. Jaylen Rufenacht hits s bug run that sets up a TD pass from Ethan Williams to Cayden Milz. Black Hawk-Warren up 6-0 with 1:38 left before halftime.

10:51 a.m. The first instant replay review in Wisconsin high school football history goes against Black Hawk-Warren - but it was the correct call. Warriors defense holds though. BHW gets the ball back on its own 7 with 3:29 left in the first half.

10:41 a.m. Warriors also give up a fumble on a promising drive, but the D forces another punt. First Down Warriors at their own 22 with 7 minutes until halftime.

10:30 a.m. We've reached the second quarter and the two teams are tied at 0. Edgar has 40 yards of offense on 3 possessions, BHW has 43. Warriors had a big fumble recovery that may have turned the momentum in their favor before this drive.

10:15 a.m. Both teams trade possessions to open the game. The mist must be fun for the players, but cameras are another story.

10:03 a.m. Kickoff is a moment away!

9:22 a.m. Black Hawk-Warren faces Edgar in the 2019 WIAA Division 7 state championship. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Follow along as we dodge whatever raindrops remain as the Warriors aim to win its second straight title.
