Einbeck, Knauf make Fury history
Both players reach 100 career points

JANESVILLE — The Rock County Fury pummeled the Badger Lightning 7-3 Jan. 21, but all eyes were on Fury teammates Anika Einbeck and Haley Knauf after the game.

Einbeck, a junior from Monroe, and Knauf, an Albany senior, each collected their 100th career points in the win. Einbeck recorded a hat trick with two assists, while Knauf had a goal and three assists.

Both players have been on the team for three seasons. Einbeck now has 103 career points — 52 goals and 51 assists. Knauf has 102 points on 47 goals and 55 assists. Knauf’s younger sister, Alyssa, a junior, is sitting at 95 career points (47 goals, 48 assists). Alyssa had a goal and three assists in the win over Badger.

The trio lead the Fury’s top line and have accounted for 53 goals and 114 total points this season. All three are in the top five in the state in assists and are top seven in points. Einbeck and Haley Knauf are tied for sixth in the state in goals this winter. Rock County (11-6) is tied for second in the Badger Conference with a 5-2 record.

Against the Lightning, Rock County went up 2-0 after the first period and led 4-2 going into the third before scoring three-straight to put the game out of reach.

Brooke Teubert, a senior from Brodhead, got the win in the net, turning away 24 shots.
