EVANSVILLE — The Darlington Redbirds took eighth place with a 482 at the WIAA Division 2 girls golf regional took place at the Evansville Golf Course on Wednesday, Oct. 1. 

The top three teams qualified for the sectional. Lancaster won the regional with a 407.  

The top golfer for Darlington was senior Makenna Martin with a 114. Senior Ellie Riechers fired a 116. Sophomore Sarina Ford and sophomore Adeline Riechers each had a 126. Senior Jacie Schwartz was a shot behind with a 127. 

Senior Brooklyn Bussan of Southwestern was the medalist with an 82.
