WHITEWATER — The Monroe Cheesemakers picked up a 6-1 Rock Valley Conference win at Whitewater on Sept. 11.
The Whippets won the first match at No. 1 singles as Taryn Rothwell defeated Adeline Eckerman in a super tiebreaker. Cheesemakers coach Matt Bordner said it was another tough test for Eckerman.
“Taryn really limited her errors in the second set and down the stretch and made every point extremely difficult for Addy. The rest of our team played really well, and it was nice to see our players stay focused as they worked through their matches,” said Bordner.
The Cheesemakers (9-2, 2-1) play at Turner in RVC tennis on Sept. 16.
