BRODHEAD — The Cardinals earned nine all-conference honors in football this fall. Nick Naramore, a senior running back, was a first-team all-Rock Valley selection.
Linemen Kaden Harper, a junior, and senior Jacob Miller were second-team picks on offense. Junior Ben Knuth was a second-team pick on the defensive line. Junior Braden Cook was selected on the second-team pick as a linebacker, and senior Dalton Naramore was selected as a second-team defensive back.
Dayton Oliver, Lucas Davidson and Shannon Condon were all honorable mention picks for Brodhead-Juda.
Evansville’s Tyr Severson was the league’s offensive player of the year, while Edgerton’s Reed Farrington was the defensive and lineman of the year. Jefferson’s Jeffery Zeh was named the league’s top back.
The coach of the year in the Rock Valley was split between Evansville’s Ron Grovesteen and Edgerton’s Mike Gregory. Edgerton’s Russ Lietz was named the assistant coach of the year.
Capitol South Volleyball
NEW GLARUS — New Glarus junior Alexah Mellenberger was named first-team all-conference in the Capitol South.
Mellenberger was joined on the team by Wisconsin Heights senior Jada Wood, as well as Marshall junior Kiana Hellenbrand, Heights senior Ashlee Adler and Waterloo juniors Brooke Mosher and Joslyn Wolff. Mosher, Wolff, Adler and Hellenbrand were unanimous all-conference selections, and Mosher was named the league’s player of the year.
Belleville’s trio of Ava Foley, Erin Kittleson and Brooke Everson were second-team selections, while New Glarus freshman Grace Nommensen was honorable mention.
