BRODHEAD — The Cardinals defeated East Troy in straight sets Sept. 27, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17.

Brodhead’s power hitters showed up in full force, as Abbie Dix had 14 kills, Kirsten Fish 11 and Mckenna Young seven. As a team, the Cardinals had 39 kills with just five errors. The Cardinals also had 11 aces, with Dix notching three, Young two and Alexis Kammerer two. Kammerer dished out 29 assists and Dix blocked three shots at the net for points.

Monticello 3, Pecatonica 0

MONTICELLO — The Ponies swept Pecatonica 25-16, 25-10, 25-14 on Sept. 26. 

Ellie Gustafson had 20 kills for Monticello, while Macey Grant finished with seven kills. Jaden Zuber tacked on four aces and Kelsy Grant dished out 28 assists for the Ponies.

Monticello (20-1) is unbeaten in conference play and travels to Barneveld Sept. 29. Monticello is also ranked No. 3 in the state in Division 4.

Black Hawk 3, Argyle 0

SOUTH WAYNE — The Warriors defeated the Orioles 25-22, 25-13, 25-13 on Sept. 26.

Tara Wellnitz tallied eight kills, a block and five aces for Black Hawk. Raylin Peterson also had eight kills and seven digs. Ellie Edler dished out 13 assists.

For Argyle, Hannah Gierhart had three kills and two aces; Mya McNett had three kills and an ace; Ava Wiegel had 11 assists and Kyleah Mick added an ace.

Albany 3, Juda 0

JUDA — The Comets scored a Six Rivers East win Sept. 26, 25-22, 25-10, 25-11. 

Alana Durtschi had nine kills, 15 digs and four aces to lead Albany. Myah Johnson had eight assists and four kills. Ellie Modaff collected five aces and eight assists, while Anna Ellinger tallied three blocks. 

Juda was led by Lavinia Rufer’s four kills and two blocks. Jackie Nusbaum had four aces and Ciarrah Davis added five digs.

Darlington 3, Riverdale 0

Mineral Point 3, Darlington 0

DARLINGTON — The Redbirds swept Riverdale a day before being swept by Mineral Point. The matches were played Sept. 26-27.

Against Riverdale, Darlington won 25-10, 25-14, 25-13. Aubrey McCarthy tallied 21 assists, seven digs, four aces and two blocks to lead the Redbirds. Jaidyn Evenstad led the way with 10 kills.

Versus Mineral Point, the Redbirds lost 23-25, 19-25, 16-25.

McCarthy had 12 assists and three aces. Jaylyn Schwartz had seven kills, Zoie Zuberbuhler 11 digs and Jada Ruf two blocks.
