Cardinals compete at UW-Whitewater indoor meet

WHITEWATER — The Brodhead-Juda Cardinals were one of 60 boys teams that competed at the Wisconsin State Indoor Track and Field Championships at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, April 4. The Cardinals finished in third place with 20 points behind first place Wisconsin Lutheran (34 points) and Arrowhead (21 points).

The top finisher for Brodhead-Juda was senior Mavrik Plummer who took second place in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.25. Plummer also took third place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.48 seconds. Senior Simon Moore finished in third place in the pole vault as he vaulted at 13 feet, 3 inches.

In other results, senior Tegan Pinnow placed 15th in the high jump as he cleared 6 feet. In the long jump, Pinnow had another 15th place finish at 20-4.5. In the 60 meter dash, junior Grayson Arn came in 11th place in 7.04 seconds. The 4x200 meter relay team of Arn, Pinnow, senior Nolan Bump, and junior Cohen Henze ran the race in 1:37.35 and took 13th place.

The Brodhead-Juda boys and girls track teams had the Big Foot Quadrangular scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, then at Clinton on Friday, April 10 and at the Jefferson Quad on Tuesday, April 14. The Cardinals will host its own invitational on Friday, April 17.
