BRODHEAD — The Cardinals were unable to make a field goal in overtime, as Big Foot edged Brodhead 84-83 in a conference matchup on Friday, Dec. 15.
Tied at 78 with fouls to give, Brodhead fouled in the final seconds to break up Big Foot’s offensive momentum. The defense then forced Jayden Paul to fumble his dribble as time expired. The effort was for naught, though, as Big Foot came out on top at the end of overtime.
Cullen Walker led Brodhead’s offense with 26 points, including three 3-pointers. Brody Riese and Gunner Boegli also finished in double figures with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
MONROE 69, DELAVAN-DARIEN 52
DELAVAN — Following its conference loss to Jefferson, Monroe responded with a 69-52 victory over Delavan-Darien on Friday, Dec. 15. The Cheesemakers overcame a two-point deficit at halftime and scored 41 points in the second frame for the win.
James Seagreaves recorded a double-double, scoring 21 points with 10 rebounds. Logan Taylor also finished in double figures with 14 points. Ryan Mathiason scored eight points with nine rebounds, while Marcus Ott tallied six assists, four deflections and three steals.
ARGYLE 79, BLACK HAWK 41
ARGYLE — With a win over the Warriors on Friday, Dec. 15, the Orioles (2-0) remain tied with Barneveld (2-0) atop the Six Rivers East Conference. A 46-point second half helped propel Argyle to victory.
Will Helfvogt scored a team-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers. Three other players finished in double figures — Mason McNett (16), Max Godfrey (15) and Ike Waage (13). Waage and Jeremiah Collins (6 points) accounted for the teams’ other 3s.
Andrew Figi paced Black Hawk with 15 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Trae Hagen’s six points all come from beyond the arc.

BLANCHARDVILLE — The Ponies held an early 2-1 lead in a conference matchup on Friday, Dec. 15, but the Vikings went on to outscore them 29-7 in the first half for the win.
The trio of Evan Dochnal (14 points), Charles Anderson (11) and Glenn Jayne (10) led Pecatonica offensively. Dochnal and Anderson completed their double-double performances with 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
Ryer Indergand paced the Ponies with 14 points, while Hunter Grossen nabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
NEW GLARUS 53, BARNEVELD 47
NEW GLARUS — Despite a 14-point lead at halftime, the Knights held on for a narrow 6-point victory over the Eagles in a nonconference game on Friday, Dec. 15.
Brett Warrell scored a career-high 22 points with six 3-pointers. He accounted for all but three of New Glarus’s baskets beyond the arc — the others came from Breckyn Thompson (7 points) and Nolan Julseth.
