OSHKOSH — The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association released its all-state and all-district teams for this past season.

Argyle senior Clay Ritschard was named honorable mention all-state as a utility player. A catcher and pitcher, Ritschard hit .500 on the season with a home run, 19 stolen bases, 31 runs and 10 RBIs for the Orioles. He was also a first-team all-district selection by the WBCA.

New Glarus senior outfielder Cooper Dreyfus, the Capitol South Player of the Year, was a second-team all-district pick in the South Central region. 

Pecatonica junior Hunter Enloe was selected for the academic all-state team, as well as honorable mention all-district in the South West. Teammates Dakota Doescher (senior) and Bryce Johnsrud (junior) were also honorable mention all-district. Pecatonica assistant coach Larry Schliem was the South West district’s Assistant Coach of the Year.

Six Rivers East Baseball All-Conf.

Dakota Doescher was selected as the Six Rivers East Player of the Year this past spring, with head coach Jim Strommen winning Coach of the Year.

Doescher was one of seven Vikings named first-team all-conference, joined by teammates Hunter Enloe, Elijah Knutson, Kegun Brunker, Coy Ruegsegger, Tyler McKeon and Bryce Johnsrud.

Argyle’s Clay Ritschard, Brady Penniston and Jayden Johnson were also first team selections, as well as Black Hawk’s Dempsey Schliem and Barneveld’s Chase Ignatius, Quinn Dimpfl, Trendon Barsness and Aiden Fishnick.

Black Hawk’s Jexen and Clayton Stietz were honorable mention picks, as was Monticello-Albany’s Evan Rufer. Owen Dimpfl and Blake Hazen of Barneveld were also honorable mention selections. 

Pecatonica (15-6) won the Six Rivers East with a 7-0 mark in league play. Barneveld (10-4) finished 5-2, with Argyle (6-12, 4-4) in third place.

Argyle’s Grace Ganshert was the league’s Player of the Year for the second straight season, helping her team win a share of the conference title with Barneveld. Daelynn Rhoades of Barneveld was named Pitcher of the Year.
