MINERAL POINT — The Argyle-Pec Golf Team shot a team score of 349 to place seventh in the annual Mineral Point Invitational held Saturday, April 5 at Dodge Point Country Club. Mineral Point won the tournament shooting a 307. Avari Steiner led Argyle-Pec with a score of 76. Alex Ruetten shot a 79.

“Gosh, the weather conditions were not good for golf,” said AP coach Chuck Chandler. “Strong winds and temps in the low 40s made it tough to score. Avari shot a great round. It’s early in the season but she’s pretty dialed in already, at practice too. Finishing seventh in a field of 20 teams is pretty good for our first event. We’ve got some big expectations for the season. It was good to get it started with a solid showing.”
