JUDA — Second-ranked Albany-Monticello dominated Juda 88-19 on Feb. 20.
Abby Hollis scored 20 points and was a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range. Molly Olson scored 14 points and made 4 of 5 threes. Anna Ellinger, Emma Thompson and Dalana Trumpy each had 20 points, while Sadie Wilkins scored eight points. Every player on the Space Stallions roster scored at least four points.
Albany-Monticello (23-1, 13-1 Six Rivers East) won the conference title by two games over fellow ranked teams Barneveld (No. 7, D5; 17-7, 11-3) and Argyle-Pecatonica (No. 7, D4; 21-3, 11-3). The top-seeded Space Stallions will play the winner of Ozaukee (9-14) and Wisconsin Heights (10-12) on Feb. 28.
Juda (4-19, 0-14 Six Rivers) is a 13-seed and will play at 4-seed Palmyra-Eagle (12-12) in the first round. The winner will play either Catholic Central (13-11) or Wayland Academy (4-16).
Belleville 101, Waterloo 40
WATERLOO — The Capitol South champion Wildcats reached triple digits in its regular season finale Feb. 20.
Nikole Schultz was an impressive 8-for-12 from three-point range, scoring a game-high 26 points and had three blocks.
Addison Edge and Toria Devoe each had 16 points, while Maddi DeSmet tallied 17 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists — just two away from the vaunted triple-double.
The Wildcats as a collective made 37 of 67 field goal attempts (55%), 17 of 30 threes (56.6%) and 10 of 14 free throws (71.4%).
Belleville (19-5) is a 3-seed in the Division 4 playoffs and have a first round bye. The Wildcats will play the winner of 11-seed Westby (7-15) and 6-seed Darlington (15-8) on Feb. 27.
New Glarus 64, Wisconsin Heights 28
MAZOMANIE — The Glarner Knights capped the regular season with a thumping of the Vanguards on Feb. 20.
New Glarus (9-13, 6-4 Capitol South) out-scored Wisconsin Heights (10-12, 2-8) 36-13 in the first half, and in the second continued the momentum, out-scoring their hosts 28-15.
The 7-seed Knights were set to host 10-seed Fennimore (9-15) in the first round of the Division 4 playoffs on Feb. 25. The winner will go to Argyle-Pecatonica (21-3) on Feb. 28.
Brodhead splits final two games
BRODHEAD — The Cardinals (12-12, 10-5 RVC-Rock) closed out the regular season with a tight 41-39 win over Evansville (9-15, 6-9) on Feb. 20, followed by a forgettable 63-12 loss to Edgerton (22-2, 14-1) the next night.
The Cardinals, a 7-seed in the playoffs, was set to host Richland Center (2-22) on Feb. 25. Should Brodhead win, the Cardinals would travel to second-seeded Platteville (20-4) on Feb. 28.
In other area action, Monroe (3-20, 0-13) lost 68-9 to RVC-Valley champion East Troy (22-2, 14-0) on Feb. 20. The Cheesemakers made just 4 of 33 field goal attempts (12.1%). Monroe travels to Elkhorn (10-14) in the D2 playoffs.
