MONROE — The Cheesemakers were represented 14 times in this fall’s Rock Valley football all-conference teams.

Senior JT Seagreaves was a first-team selection at both running back and defensive line, the only Cheesemakers to make both first-teams. Seagreaves ran for 1,294 yards and 16 touchdowns in his first season in the backfield, he also had 11 receptions for 212 yards and two scores. Defensively, he had 56 tackles on the season with six sacks and an interception. He will suit up for the Wisconsin Badgers next fall, the first Monroe grad to do so in over two decades.

Also on the first-team for Monroe were Seagreaves’ battering mates in the backfield, juniors Keatin Sweeney and Alex Hernandez. Hernandez was the league leader in total rushing with 1,378 on the season, eight more than Sweeney, who was second. Seagreaves was third. Sweeney had 19 TDs on the year, while Hernandez finished with 14. Sweeney and Seagreaves averaged 9.6 yards per carry, while Hernandez at fullback advanced the ball 5.9 yards per tote. Jefferson’s Brady Grotto (861 yds, 10 TD, 5.4 ypc) was the other first-team RB.

On the offensive line, Monroe juniors Isaac Bunker and Austin Fuchs made the first-team. On the first-team for defense were junior Sean Rufenacht (DE), senior Liam (ILB) and junior Tucker Markham (OLB).

On the second-team for offense for Monroe was junior Nathaniel Baker (OL) and senior Lucas Flom (K). Sophomore Kaden Kuester (DL), senior Aaron Roidt (DB) and junior Drew Indergand (DB) made the second-team for defense.

After Edgewood’s season was vacated, Monroe was left atop the conference standings at 7-0.
