13 Cheesemakers named all-conference

Monroe’s Henry Brukwicki was name honorable mention all-conference in the Badger South this season.

MONROE — The Badger Conference released its spring sports all-conference teams for baseball, softball, girls soccer and boys golf in early June. The Cheesemakers had 13 student-athletes honored for their efforts on the field of play this season.

Senior Alyse Maurer, second baseman for the softball team, was the school’s only first team selection. The softball team had five players honored, while the baseball team finished with six. Two girls soccer players netted postseason awards. 


SWAL all-conference released

Darlington senior Cayden Rankin was the lone Redbird to be named all-conference. Rankin made the list as an honorable mention pick.

Mineral Point’s Liam Stumpf was the league’s player of the year, with Mineral Point’s Jordan Tibbits winning coach of the year. 

In softball, junior catcher Greta Volkening was named first-team all-conference. 

Gretta Grassel of Boscobel was the league’s player of the year, and Quinn Schultz of Mineral Point was the coach of the year.

Girls Soccer:

Honorable Mention — Megan Benzschawel, sr; Zoee Pond, sr
