BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda girls track team edged Clinton 74-72 in a dual meet Tuesday.
Brodhead-Juda senior Shannon Klein won the 400-meter dash (1:01.4) and the long jump (14 feet, 3 1/2 inches). Camilla Klar finished first in the 1,600 (6:00.2) and the 3,200 (14:09.1).
Junior Heather Clankie took first in the shot put (34-2) and the discus (131-0).
The Cardinals won the 1,600 relay with a time of 4:48 and the 3,200 relay with a time of 11:56.1.
The Brodhead boys track team tied Clinton at 73 despite winning 10 events. Brodhead-Juda senior Alex Wallace won the 100 (:11.5) and junior Joey Jordan finished first in the 400 with a time of 54.2 seconds and the long jump (19-7). David Earleywine took first in the 800 (2:18.7). Earleywine had a hand in winning three events since he was on the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relays. Michael Peterson won the triple jump (42-4) and senior J.J. Panoske took the top spot in the high jump (5-8).
Wallace and Trent Jordan helped key a win in the 400 relay with a time of 46.6 seconds. The Cardinals took first in the 1,600 relay (3:43.4) and finished first in the 3,200 relay (8:57.7).
