Knights rally to beat Waterloo

WATERLOO - New Glarus junior Vanessa Narveson and sophomore Sarah Rotar combined to score 28 points to help the Glarner Knights roll to a 51-37 win over Waterloo Thursday.

Narveson scored a game-high 15 points and Rotar added 13 points in the win. New Glarus sophomore Evonne Strahm chipped in seven points.

Waterloo jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the first quarter before the Knights answered. New Glarus (7-13, 4-5 Capitol South) rebounded from a from a six-point halftime deficit by going on a 14-6 third quarter run. The Knights outscored Waterloo 36-16 in the second half.

The Knights made 15 of 28 free throws compared to 10 of 27 for Waterloo. Waterloo was led by Ashley Kneisel, who scored 13 points.
